  • During Jan-May *'10,'Telecommunication Services' category had the highest share i.e. 68% of overall Telecom sector TV ad pie followed by 'Telecommunication Equipments' and 'Corporate/Brand Image' with 27% and 5% share respectively.
  • 2% increase in TV ad volumes of ‘Telecommunication Services’ during Jan-May*’10 compared to same period in 2009.
  • Whereas, ‘Telecommunication Equipments’ has observed 1.7 times increase in its TV ad volumes during Jan-May*’10 compared to Jan-May ‘09.

  • Top 3 brands of Telecommunication Equipments advertised on TV during Jan-May*’10 were ‘Nokia 5233’,’ Nokia Mobile Phone’ and ‘Onida Mobile Phone’.
  • Bharti Airtel Ltd', 'Ideal Cellular Ltd' and 'Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd' occupied the top 3 position in the advertisers list of 'Telecommunication Services' on TV during Jan-May *'10.
  • Top 5 advertisers contributed for 69% share of 'Telecommunication Services' TV ad pie during Jan-May *'10.
  • 'Nokia Corporation' with 22% share leads in advertising of 'Telecommunication Equipments' on TV followed by 'Samsung India Electronics Ltd' and 'LG Electronics India Ltd' with 15% and 9% share respectively during Jan-May *'10.
