  • Print ad volumes recorded growth of 2% during Jan-Sep ’09 compared to same period in 2008.
  • ‘Education’ sector with 18% share occupied the top position in the list of Top 10 Sectors in Print during Jan-Sep ‘09. ’Services’ and ‘Banking/Finance/Investment’ with 11% and 9% share were at 2nd and 3rd position respectively. Top 10 sectors accounted for 64% share of overall Print advertising during Jan-Sep ’09.

  • ‘Educational Institutions’, ‘Social Advertisement’ and ‘Cars/Jeeps’ were the top 3 categories in Print during Jan-Sep ‘09. Top 10 categories contributed for 44% share of overall Print advertising during Jan-Sep ’09.
  • ‘Tata Motors Ltd’, ‘Planman Consultant India P Ltd’ and ‘Maruti Suzuki Ltd’ were the Top 3 advertisers in Print during Jan-Sep ’09.
  • ‘Tata Motors Ltd’ has maintained its top rank in Print during Jan-Sep ’09 and Jan-Sep ’08. Compared to Jan-Sep ’08, 3 of the Top 10 advertisers i.e. ’Samsung India Electronics Ltd’, ‘Ministry of Health & Family Welfare’ and ‘General Motors India Ltd’ has moved up in their ranking to be in the Top 10 list of advertisers during Jan-Sep ’09
