  • ‘Personal Hygiene’ sub sector had the highest share i.e. 45% of overall TV advertising of ‘Personal Care’ sector followed by ‘Hair Care’ and ‘Skin care’ sector at 2nd and 3rd place with 23% and 17% share respectively during 2009.
  • Compared to 2008, ‘Skin Care’ sector recorded maximum growth in its TV ad volumes followed by ‘Cosmetics’ and ‘Personal Hygiene’ sub sectors during 2009.

  • Compared to 2008, ‘Ponds India’ and ’Emami Limited’ have moved up in its rank to be among the top 10 list of advertisers of ‘Personal Care’ sector on TV during 2009.
  • ‘Ponds White Beauty’, ‘Clinic All Clear Tech Soft’, ‘Dove Hair Fall Therapy System’ occupied the top 3 position in the top 10 list of new ‘Personal Care’ brands advertised on TV during 2009.
  • Maximum 5 brands of ‘Hair Care’ and 3 of ‘Skin Care’ sub sectors made to the top 10 list of new ‘Personal Care’ brands advertised on TV during 2009.
