  • During 2008, 'Personal Hygiene' category had maximum share i.e. 44% of overall Personal Care sector advertising on TV followed by 'Hair Care' and 'Personal Healthcare' with 26% and 16% share respectively.

  • 'Hindustan Unilever Ltd', 'Procter & Gamble', 'Reckitt Benckiser (India) Ltd' were the top 3 advertisers, they contributed 36% of overall Personal Care sector advertising on TV during 2008.

  • During 2008, 4 of the Top 10 new Personal Care brands advertised on TV were 'ITC Ltd' and 3 belonged to Hindustan Unilever Ltd which had occupied the Top 3 places.
  • 'Priyanka Chopra' was the top celebrity endorsing Personal Care brands on TV followed by ‘Kareena Kapoor’ and ‘Sushmita Sen’ during 2008.
