Newspapers and Magazines were used in an advertising ratio of 95:5 during H1 ’08.

  • During 1st half of 2008, Print advertising grew by 5% compared to same period in 2007.
  • During H1 '08, 'Non Metro' Newspapers had a larger share of 53% in the overall Print advertising followed by 'Metro' and 'Mini' Newspapers with 36% and 12% share respectively.

  • ‘Tata Motors Ltd', 'Maruti Suzuki Ltd' and 'Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd' were the top 3 advertisers in Print during H1 '08..
  • Compared to H1 '07, 3 of the advertisers had shifted maximum places to be among the top 10 list of advertisers in H1 '08 viz. 'SBI(State Bank of India)', 'Pantaloons Retail India Ltd' and 'Cox & Kings India Ltd'.
