Explanation for the categories of Internet Portals
  1. B2C & Online Shopping: A virtual retail shopping space specifically for internet savvy clients.
  2. Jobs: Portals providing online platforms for Job offers and Recruitment facilities under one roof.
  3. Matrimonial: Match making portals for the prospective brides and grooms.
  4. Properties/Real Estate: An online portal providing facilities like buying, selling and giving information of Properties/Real Estate.
  5. Travel & Tourism: Website providing information and confirming tour packages which includes details for place of visit, travel and stay details etc.
  6. General: Website other than the above five categories come under the General category. It includes mailing facilities, Chatting facilities, blogs, financial, sports, Astrology, games and others.

  • 53% share contributed by the Top 10 websites advertised in Print during Jan-Jul’08.
  • Top 3 websites advertised in Print during Jan-Jul ’08 were ‘www.ezeego1.com’, ‘www.shine.com’ and ‘www.makemytrip.com’.

  • Among the Sales Promotional campaigns used for ‘Internet Portals’, ‘Discount Promotion’ had the largest share of 45% followed by ‘Contest Promotion’ and ‘Multiple Promotion’ with 22% and 20% share respectively.
