  • Ice Cream category recorded growth of 45% in its TV ad volumes during Jan-May ’09 compared to same period in 2008.
  • ‘HUL’ with 68% led the advertising of Ice Cream category on TV followed by ‘GCMMF (Gujarat Cooperative Milk & Marketing Federation)’ and ‘Vadilal Enterprises Ltd’ with 13% and 10% share respectively during Jan-May ‘09.

  • Ice Cream category advertising on National and Regional channels was in the ratio of 66:34 during Jan-May ’09.
  • ‘Tamil Nadu’ was the top state to contribute maximum (41%) in overall advertising share of Ice Cream category on Regional channels followed by ‘Maharashtra’ and ‘West Bengal’ with 19% and 17% share respectively.
