  • Compared to 2008, TV ad volumes of 'Consumer Durables’ sector recorded a growth of 14% during 2009.
  • ‘Water Purifiers/Filters’ category had the maximum share i.e. 21% of overall advertising share of ‘Consumer Durables’ sector on TV followed by ‘Television Sets’ and ‘Air Conditioners’ categories with 15% and 8% share respectively during 2009.

  • ‘Hindustan Unilever Ltd’ and ‘LG Electronics Ltd’ has maintained its top 2 positions in the top 10 advertisers list of 2009 and 2008.whereas, ’Microtek International’ had maintained its 4th position during both the years - 2008 and 2009.
  • Compared to 2008, ‘Mirc Electronics’, ‘Bajaj Electricals Ltd’ and ‘Sony India Ltd’ have moved up in its rank to be in the top 10 list of advertisers of 2009.

  • ’Kajol’ and ‘Ranbir Kapoor’ each with 18% share leads in Celebrity endorsements of ‘Consumer Durables’ on TV during 2009.
